In the UK, one child in every classroom is bullied every single day. But with your help, we can change that.
Our corporate partners are crucial in helping us to stand up to bullying and protect young lives. By choosing to work with us, you'll benefit from a bespoke partnership that makes a big difference to children's lives.
Why partner with us?
By working with Kidscape, you will:
- Create positive PR and marketing opportunities that enhance and grow your reputation. Bullying is regularly cited as the top concern of children and parents and carers. Through working with Kidscape, you are showing that you want to create a better world and care about the future of young lives.
- Engage and motivate staff who will have been touched by bullying. There will be members of your team who have been impacted by bullying. They may have have experienced bullying themselves, or may have children in their own lives who they want to keep safe.
- Have a genuine impact on the lives of children and young people. As a small charity working with thousands of children each year, your support matters to us. Through working together you can help raise awareness of Kidscape with children and families, as well as raising vital funds for our work.
"Bullying can have a huge impact on the lives of children and their families, that’s why we at Specsavers support Kidscape’s amazing work. If your family is affected by bullying please contact them, it could make all the difference." - Dame Mary Perkins, Founder of Specsavers and Patron of Kidscape
How does it work?
We make sure that our partnerships work for both parties, with clear expectations and deliverables - but most importantly we make sure that together we change young lives for the better! We understand that organisations have different needs, cultures, and ideas. If you would like an exploratory conversation to see what we may be able to do together, please email email@example.com
How do we get started?
Sockshop and Elmer the Elephant
Our wonderful friends at Sock Shop have been supporting Kidscape and celebrating Friendship Friday since 2020 through sales of their beautiful bamboo patchwork Elmer the Elephant socks, where 10% RRP is donated from every sale. This year, the socks were also promoted for Elmer Day and Pride Month, and Sock Shop also help us create valuable awareness by promoting Kidcape's resources and support through their social channels and customer newsletters.
We were thrilled to be chosen as one of the charities for Jingle Jam 2022, the world's biggest charity gaming event!
Each year, Jingle Jam brings the whole gaming community together in an epic event that raises funds for twelve deserving charitable projects while sharing the hugely popular Jingle Jam Games Collection. Since 2011, the events have raised a staggering $25 million for dozens of great causes.
We were blown away by the generosity of the Jingle Jam team and everyone who donated. The funds raised meant that we have been able to deliver Peer Mentoring training in schools, matching children in one-on-one friendships so they can serve as positive role models. The programme means that older children can support younger children to deal with the challenges that they’re facing.
The funding has also helped us to work on a website redevelopment project, meaning that it’s easier for us to get help to the children and families who really need it.
In 2022, Kidscape partnered with Giants Live to keep children safe from bullying and harm.
Giants Live operates the ‘Official World’s Strongest Man Qualifying Tour’, as part of the iconic World’s Strongest Man format that’s been running since 1977.
Giants Live donated to Kidscape at the end of ‘The World’s Strongest Man Arena Tour 2022’, as well as fundraising throughout the tour. Every penny raised will help Kidscape to provide practical support, training, and advice to challenge bullying and protect young lives.
Giants Live also surprised children when two Giants made a guest appearance at their primary school! The aim was to teach children what strong really means - and the result was a film which won Bronze at the Charity Film Awards.
Since 2018, Kidscape has partnered with JD Foundation to support children, young people and families impacted by bullying. To date, the foundation have donated over £138,000 which has been raised through events and staff fundraising activities. The Foundation have also organised activity away days for their charity partner beneficiaries.
Unrestricted funding from JD Foundation has been invaluable in helping support the costs of key services during the pandemic. They also funded resources to help deliver projects in the community, including a back-to-school programme to aid in the transition back into education following lockdowns and have also supported ongoing costs of the Kidscape Parent Advice Line.
One of the main reasons why JD chose to partner with Kidscape is because of how the brand resonates with the children and young people that Kidscape supports, and their presence on every high street in the UK will help them to reach more families who could benefit from Kidscape services. The support Kidscape has received from this partnership will help us to achieve our vision – and protect even more children and young people faced with a bullying situation.
